Jordan's King arrives in Doha

King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan arrived in Doha on Monday to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit scheduled to be convened today.King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by His Excellecy Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Qatar Zaid Mufleh Al Lawzi.

Jordan, Turkiye call for joint efforts to hinder Israeli aggression

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, discussed Saturday via phone the Israeli aggression against Qatar, which they condemned as a violation of international law and an escalation that will only increase tensions and conflict in the region. The two ministers stressed their full solidarity with Qatar, affirming its security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens.Al-Safadi and Fidan also emphasized the importance of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit to be hosted by Qatar on Monday, which aims to create a unified Arab and Islamic stance against the ongoing Israeli aggression that threatens regional security and stability.During the call, the ministers also discussed the latest developments in the region.They reaffirmed the need for coordinated efforts to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza immediately, to reach a prisoner exchange agreement, and to ensure the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian disaster exacerbated by the ongoing aggression.

Jordan denounces Israeli attack in Doha

Jordan condemned on Tuesday, in the strongest terms, the Israeli attack targeting the residential premises of several members of the Political Bureau of Hamas Movement in the Qatari capital, Doha. It described the attack as an egregious breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as a brazen assault on the sovereignty and security of the State of Qatar.A statement by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed Jordan's flat-out rejection and firm condemnation of this Israeli assault, describing it as a violation of the sovereignty of an Arab country, a dangerously provocative escalation that drags the region into further violence and conflict, and imperils regional and global security and stability.The statement reiterated Jordan's full support and solidarity with Qatar, its stability, and the safety of its territory and citizens, and expressed support for any measures Qatar takes to protect its security and sovereignty.Furthermore, the ministry called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities to compel the Israeli entity to halt its dangerous escalation in the region, along with its persistent assaults on Arab nations, and to ensure compliance with the rules of international order, international humanitarian law, and resolutions of international legitimacy.
