The Israeli occupation renewed today its violation of the ceasefire agreement with Gaza as air raids continued on various areas of the strip.WAFA news agency reported today that air raids continue on areas in North and Central Gaza.Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect last Oct. 10, 410 people were martyred, and 1134 others were injured. A total of 649 bodies were recovered. 

Her Excellency the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) and a member of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC), Maryam bint Abdullah al-Attiyah affirmed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank is experiencing an unprecedented deterioration as a result of the comprehensive siege, acute shortages of food and medicine, and the collapse of essential service systems.She noted that the conditions facing civilians amount to grave violations of international humanitarian law, foremost among them collective punishment and the repeated targeting of civilians and vital civilian infrastructure.These remarks were made during her participation in three specialised meetings held as part of the 26th regular session of the IPHRC, convened in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.Her Excellency Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah emphasised that the meetings provided an important platform for unifying perspectives within the OIC and for strengthening approaches grounded in international humanitarian law and human rights principles, in a manner that contributes to the protection of civilians, supports the most vulnerable groups, and reinforces international accountability.She stressed that the continued targeting of health facilities, educational institutions, and sources of water and electricity in Gaza and the West Bank undermines the most basic requirements of a dignified life and necessitates urgent international action to ensure immediate civilian protection and to halt systematic violations. In this context, she underscored the importance of integrating mental health and psychosocial support into the humanitarian response, given the profound psychological impact of the crisis, particularly on children and women.She stated that any peace plan concerning Gaza must be founded on clear principles that respect international law and guarantee the fundamental rights of the population, affirming that safe, unconditional, and sustained access for humanitarian assistance is an essential prerequisite for the success of any political or humanitarian track.She further emphasized that reconstruction efforts cannot proceed in isolation from justice and guarantees of non-recurrence, stressing the necessity of engaging Palestinians as the rightful stakeholders in determining their future.On accountability, she affirmed that supporting international investigations and co-operating with the International Criminal Court and relevant UN mechanisms constitutes a cornerstone in addressing impunity. She explained that documenting violations in accordance with international standards, strengthening the role of civil society organisations, and enhancing collective action within the OIC are all indispensable to ensuring that perpetrators of grave crimes are held to account.HE Al-Attiyah highlighted that humanitarian and development dimensions are no less important than political pathways, stressing the need to open safe humanitarian corridors, provide special protection for vulnerable groups -particularly women, children, older persons, and persons with disabilities- and restore essential services such as health, education, water, and electricity as a minimum condition for ensuring a dignified standard of living.She noted that sustained diplomatic engagement, building on the outcomes of OIC meetings, the Saudi-French conference, and the 2025 Peace Summit in New York, represents an important avenue for unifying international positions and supporting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.With regard to the human rights situation in Syria, al-Attiyah affirmed that the continuation of the conflict and its humanitarian repercussions necessitate strengthening the role of the IPHRC in monitoring conditions on the ground and producing neutral, periodic reports highlighting violations and humanitarian challenges, in cooperation with national institutions and UN agencies operating in the field.She explained that prioritising humanitarian assistance should focus on protecting children from violence, displacement, and recruitment; ensuring access to education in emergencies; and strengthening health system resilience through support for field hospitals and the provision of essential medical supplies. She emphasised that effective co-ordination among humanitarian actors is critical to avoiding duplication and improving the efficiency of interventions.She underscored the importance of developing partnership strategies within the OIC system through the adoption of clear frameworks for role distribution and the exchange of data and expertise, thereby maximising humanitarian impact and directing resources toward the most urgent priorities.She called for firm commitment to implementation through a ceasefire, the launch of a political process, the safe return of displaced persons, and the delivery of humanitarian assistance, alongside expanded international advocacy for relevant resolutions.During the meeting of the working group on the right to the family and the rights of women and children, al-Attiyah affirmed that guaranteeing girls' right to education is a non-negotiable human rights priority that must not be subject to discrimination or delay, particularly in conflict and post-conflict settings. She stressed the importance of national legislation, education-in-emergencies programs, the provision of safe learning environments, as well as psychosocial support and sustainable financing.She also warned that digital challenges, including Internet addiction, cyberviolence, and online exploitation, have become direct threats to children's rights, calling for comprehensive national policies to protect children in the digital space, effective partnerships with technology companies and civil society organisations, and the strengthening of media and information literacy.Furthermore, al-Attiyah emphasised that institutionalising the role of women in preventing violent extremism is a central pillar of national strategies, through their involvement in policymaking, support for women's networks, and enhanced regional co-operation within the OIC, contributing to the promotion of narratives grounded in tolerance and moderation.She said that strengthening co-operation among the IPHRC, OIC institutions, UN agencies, and national human rights bodies represents a fundamental entry point for advancing social policies that place the family at the core of the human rights system.

Israel's assassination of a senior Hamas commander threatens the viability of the Gaza ceasefire, the chief negotiator of the resistance group said Sunday, calling on US President Donald Trump to demand Israel comply with the terms of the truce.Thousands of Hamas supporters rallied in central Gaza City at a funeral for senior commander Raed Saed and three associates killed alongside him on Saturday.The mourners chanted "Martyrs are dear to God" and carried the bodies in coffins draped in green Hamas flags, in one of the group's biggest displays of its presence since a US-backed ceasefire deal came into effect in Gaza in October.In a televised address, Hamas chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, who lives in exile, confirmed the killing of Saed, the highest-profile assassination of a senior Hamas figure since the truce."The continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement... and latest assassinations that targeted Saed and others threaten the viability of the agreement," Hayya said."We call on mediators, and especially the main guarantor, the US administration and President Donald Trump, to work on obliging Israel to respect the ceasefire and commit to it."The Hamas armed wing said later Sunday it has chosen a replacement for Saed.Hamas sources have described Saed as the second-in-command of the group's armed wing, after Izzeldeen Al-Hadad.Hamas has not identified an overall chief since Israel killed the group's head, Yehya Al-Sinwar, in 2024. Instead, the group has since been led by a five-man high leadership council, of which Hayya is a member.Since the ceasefire, Israeli forces remain in control of the depopulated eastern half of Gaza, while the resistance group has reasserted its control over the western half, where nearly all of the enclave's more than 2 million people live in the ruins.

A Palestinian man was killed on Saturday morning by Israeli occupation army gunfire in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip, as ceasefire violations continued.Palestinian WAFA news agency reported that the 19-year-old man was killed by occupation bullets in Jabalia Al-Nazla.The occupation army continues to launch air strikes on areas in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and north of Rafah, while continuing operations to blow up citizens' homes east of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.The death toll since the ceasefire agreement last October 11 rose to 383 Palestinians, with 1,002 injured.

The UN Children's Fund (Unicef) warned Saturday of the growing risk of disease outbreaks among children in the Gaza Strip, urging for intensifying the entry of humanitarian aid, particularly winter clothing and tents, amid harsh weather conditions.Palestine' news agency (WAFA) Saturday quoted Unicef as saying that the current situation poses an escalating threat to children's safety given severe weather and the delay in the delivery of essential supplies.Unicef urged that humanitarian aid, including large quantities of winter supplies currently stockpiled at the Gaza border, to be allowed into the Strip safely, quickly, and without obstruction.According to Unicef's nutrition assessments conducted with its partners in Gaza in November, 9,300 of the Strip's children under the age of five are suffering from acute malnutrition. 

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani has reaffirmed that Qatar will persistently support the Palestinian people and provide humanitarian aid to them.His Excellency added that Qatar won't leave the Palestinians without funding, but it won't be responsible for paying the rebuilding cost of what others have devastated in the Gaza Strip either.HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed that the Palestinians have the right to remain on their territories, and no entity is entitled to compel them to leave their country.Speaking during a conversation conducted by the founder of Tucker Carlson Network (TCN), Tucker Carlson, during the second day of Doha Forum 2025 deliberations, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs said the relationship with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has been forged for 13 years at the request of the US of America.The roots of this relationship go back nearly 19 years, when Hamas participated in the Palestinian Legislative Council elections, and also when it moved its office to Doha in 2012, which was used exclusively to facilitate ceasefire communication and to enable the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, he highlighted.HE the Prime Minister noted that Qatar has faced censures and attacks due to hosting Hamas on its territory, explaining that, when addressing conflicts, it is essential to engage all parties for their resolution.However, despite the criticisms and accusations, communication with Hamas has led to multiple agreements on ceasefires, the release of hostages, and alleviating civilian suffering, he outlined, pointing out that some politicians attempt to exploit this for short-term political gains, fueling the narratives they propagate and using Qatar as a means to assign blame to other countries.HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs clarified that all aid delivered to the Palestinian people was implemented with full transparency and under the superintendence of the US, pointing out that Israel was facilitating this process, which was carried out through the successive governments there.Qatar did not provide funding to Hamas, and the allegations in this regard are baseless, the Prime Minister underlined, emphasizing that these allegations intend to spread lies and misleading information about Qatar, which achieves nothing in reality.HE Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the record of Qatar with the US over past decades shows that it did not encourage any hostile acts, pointing out that all its dialogues with the US focus on de-escalation and achieving peace in the region.Regarding the Israeli targeting of Doha, he noted that there are many unethical actions that cannot be justified, adding that the notion of mediation lies in being a safe space for parties to the conflict, so that they can reach a deal to end wars and conflicts, yet when the mediator is subjected to bombardment by one of the parties, this is unprecedented.He reiterated that the Israeli bombardment of Doha contravenes the very essence of international obligations and cannot be accepted under any circumstances.From the moment of the Israeli attack, President Donald Trump requested to communicate with Qatar, and at the same time, contact was made with the Israeli side, where he expressed his disappointment and shock at what Israel did, in his capacity as a partner in these efforts, His Excellency elucidated.He added that the Israeli strike on Doha occurred while the Qatari team was working to convince Hamas to approve the proposal presented by the US President at that time, and to reach a deal before developing the 20-point plan.Regarding the misleading media reports claiming that the Israeli attack on Doha was carried out with the approval of President Trump, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that there are those seeking to sabotage the Qatar-US relationship, stating that these reports want people to believe that, but this is not new to Qatar.Qatar has witnessed many attempts based on lies, misleading information, and falsehoods about it, as well as to undermine its relationship with the US, he clarified.His Excellency elaborated that the Qatar-US relationship is mutually beneficial, as both sides work to achieve matters that their adversaries do not seek, those who aim for escalation, domination, and control, while Qatar calls for resolving conflicts through peaceful means and dialogue, which has been its policy since its establishment. He stressed that the Qatari support will be for the Palestinian people, and not for the rebuilding of what Israel destroyed.He said that Qatar feels pain when it hears others speak of the people of Gaza as if they are different from others, but Qatar sees that the people of Gaza have the right to determine where they want to live, and these people do not want to leave their country, as seen on more than one occasion when the barriers between northern and southern Gaza were removed.Folks witnessed the people return to their homes even though they were leveled to the ground, and build tents on their ruins, which demonstrates the resilience of this people, His Excellency noted, asserting that no party has the right to displace this people or force them to move elsewhere.HE the Prime Minister emphasized that the current situation cannot continue in the long term, pointing out that if the violations in the Gaza Strip persist, this conflict could escalate again, and this is something everyone must avoid.The optimal solution lies in implementing the plan launched by President Trump, which received consensus among regional states, rebuilding Gaza so that its people remain and live on their land, and reaching a political solution to the broader issue through the establishment of the Palestinian statehood according to the two-state solution, he stressed.His Excellency hoped that a war between Israel and Iran would not occur in the future, and that a way could be found to revive negotiations and talks regarding Iran's nuclear programme, warning that if any Israeli attack on Iran takes place, its impact would be felt across all countries in the region, potentially causing a flare-up of conflict.Regarding the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, he assured that there is much hope in the ongoing efforts undertaken by the US in this regard to reach a solution, emphasizing that this war has become a source of harm for the entire world and carries severe consequences if it continues. 

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr Badr Abdel Aatty has affirmed that managing the daily affairs of the population of the Gaza Strip must be done through a Palestinian democratic administrative committee that undertakes the provision of essential services, including security, justice, and healthcare.He underscored that Palestine remains a singular, indivisible entity, and that Gaza cannot be severed from the West Bank.In a session on "The Gaza Reckoning: Reassessing Global Responsibilities and Pathways to Peace", as part of Doha Forum 2025 deliberations, Aatty stressed that stability in the region hinges on achieving Palestinian statehood on the territories that have been occupied since June 5, 1967, including Gaza and the West Bank.The minister highlighted that the situation in the West Bank is sometimes worse than in Gaza due to settler attacks, land seizures, and settler activities that aim to undermine the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state.Aatty added communications between Gaza and the West Bank are critically important to ensure the unity of the Palestinian territories and help the Palestinian Authority manage affairs in Gaza.The minister also said that security and humanitarian aid alone were not sufficient, as there must be a political horizon that achieves Palestinian statehood and plants hope among the Palestinians.He noted that Egypt supports commissioning all crossings with Gaza to ensure the flow of humanitarian and medical aid, emphasising that Egypt operates the Rafah crossing in an efficient manner.Aatty stressed that this crossing must not be a vehicle to drive residents out of their homeland, stating that only sick people should receive treatment abroad and return afterward.Finally, the minister asserted that Egypt would not rule Gaza or any Palestinian territory, but supports the Palestinians in managing their affairs themselves, echoing that any enduring solution for security in the region is contingent upon achieving Palestinian statehood.

The UK government announced it will provide an additional contribution of 3 million pounds to support the people of Gaza, specifically to aid charities participating in the Disasters Emergency Committee's (DEC) Middle East Humanitarian Appeal this winter.In a statement, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office said that Gaza, which receives the largest share of donations within the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal, is experiencing heavy rains that have flooded tents and damaged residents' belongings, amid a severe shortage of shelter and basic supplies. This leaves children facing bitterly cold nights without warm clothes or blankets."The situation in Gaza remains critical, with winter weather taking conditions from bad to worse. Innocent families are facing icy winds and biting rain, forced to live in exposed conditions. We must act now to get vital winter aid to those that need it", British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said.She added that "the DEC's aid partners have already done so much, and they have the skills and knowhow to effect real change on the ground - delivering aid, winter supplies and shelter".According to the statement, the Disasters Emergency Response Committee's Middle East Humanitarian Appeal has raised more than 55 million pounds since its launch in October 2024, providing life-saving assistance to those affected by conflict in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and Syria.

A Palestinian was martyred Tuesday in Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, as Israeli occupation forces continued demolishing homes and launching attacks across the Gaza Strip, in an ongoing violation of the ceasefire agreement.The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said that Israeli warplanes launched intensive airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, while residential buildings were demolished in northern Gaza.Armored vehicles and explosive-laden military robots were detonated near the Shuja'iyya intersection in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, and drones dropped bombs on Palestinian homes near the al-Sanafir intersection in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, amid heavy gunfire.Israeli artillery also shelled the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, while military vehicles opened fire east of the city.Meanwhile, helicopter drones also targeted Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, while artillery and military vehicles fired on the northern and eastern parts of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.Since the ceasefire agreement entered into force on Oct. 11, the number of martyrs has risen to 356, with 909 injured.

The ceasefire in Gaza is holding as Qatar continues intensive efforts to advance to the second phase of the Gaza agreement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dr Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari said during the weekly media briefing Tuesday.Dr al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening its global partnerships while sustaining its role as a key mediator in the Gaza negotiations. He cautioned, however, that ongoing Israeli violations were “alarming".Qatar, alongside the United States and Egypt secured a long-elusive truce in Gaza, which came into effect on October 10 and has mostly halted two years of fighting between Israel and Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.“Efforts are continuing through the monitoring room in Cairo to follow up on Israeli violations, and we have confidence in the plan of US President Donald Trump, his role, and the role of the mediators,” he said. Qatar believes the parties “should be pushing to stage two very, very soon,” he added.Highlighting Doha’s diplomatic role, the spokesperson stressed that Qatar is urging all sides to stay engaged in negotiations. “This is the longest-standing truce, and we are playing our part in implementing the agreement, monitoring violations, and trying to prevent its collapse,” he said.Under the second phase of the deal, which gained UN backing in November, Israel is to withdraw from its positions in the territory, an interim authority is to govern Gaza and an international stabilisation force is to be deployed.Dr al-Ansari also condemned Israel’s continued killing of Palestinian journalists, saying such actions aim to silence reporting on the reality in Gaza.On Qatar's efforts regarding the Russia-Ukraine crisis, al- Ansari stated that Qatar engaged from day one in exploring possible mediation efforts and supported all global initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict.He highlighted Qatar's success in reuniting over 115 children affected by the war with their families from both sides, underlining the Qatari message to all parties is that conflicts are ultimately resolved through peaceful means, and the dialogue table remains the path to crisis resolution.Turning to domestic developments, he announced that the 23rd Doha Forum will be held on December 6–7, 2025, under the theme “Establishing Justice: From Promises to Tangible Reality.” The event will bring together world leaders, policymakers, and experts from more than 150 countries, reflecting Qatar’s growing role as a hub for dialogue, cooperation, and shared progress.
