Her Excellency Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Singapore Stanley Loh.The meeting explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of labour market policy development, skills development and workforce training, and social protection, as well as means of further supporting and expanding cooperation.In her remarks during the meeting, HE Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that the State of Qatar attaches great importance to developing its labour system through the continuous modernization of legislation and policies, improving the working environment, strengthening the protection of workers' rights, investing in vocational training and professional development, and enhancing the efficiency and skills of the workforce in line with labour market developments and requirements.Her Excellency affirmed that the meeting represents an important platform for strengthening dialogue, exchanging expertise, and benefiting from successful experiences in developing labour market policies and enhancing human capital capabilities.Her Excellency also commended the Republic of Singapore's leading experience in the fields of occupational safety and health, social protection systems, skills development, and aligning education and training outcomes with labour market needs. She expressed the State of Qatar's aspiration to expand cooperation and exchange best practices between the two sides.Her Excellency further emphasised the importance of the official visit and the accompanying technical meetings in strengthening communication between the relevant authorities and opening new avenues for partnership and the exchange of knowledge and expertise in support of the shared interests of both countries. 

HE Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani met on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the State of Qatar Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera.The meeting discussed cooperation relations, particularly in security-related fields and explored avenues to strengthen and further develop these ties, in addition to several matters of mutual interest.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has condemned Israeli military incursions into Syrian territory and the shelling of the southern governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, describing the actions as a violation of Syria's sovereignty and international law.In a statement issued on Monday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the Israeli operations constituted a "dangerous escalation" that risked increasing regional tensions and instability.He said the continued military actions undermined regional and international efforts to achieve peace and called for respect for Syria's sovereignty, as well as compliance with international law and international humanitarian law.Albudaiwi also reaffirmed the GCC's support for Syria's security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.The six-member bloc reiterated its rejection of any actions that violate Syria's sovereignty or threaten its security.

Gulf Cooperation Council welcomed the provisions of the framework agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli entity under US sponsorship and the Lebanese and US efforts aimed at restoring Lebanon's sovereignty and ensuring the withdrawal of Israel from its territories.In a statement, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi underscored the GCC's full support for the Republic of Lebanon in reclaiming its complete rights and extending its sovereignty over all its territories, in a manner that contributes to restricting the decision of peace and war solely to legitimate state institutions, as well as enabling the Lebanese people to live in security, stability, and prosperity.Furthermore, Albudaiwi pointed out that the GCC states support the language of dialogue, and peaceful and diplomatic means to resolve all conflicts. He praised the pivotal role played by the United States of America in the path toward this framework agreement.

The Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Sayed, has signed a ‘Joint Statement on AI Opportunity’ between Qatar and the US during the Pax Silica Summit, recently held in Washington, DC.The joint statement serves as an annex to the Pax Silica Declaration signed by Qatar and the US in January this year, marking a strategic step aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in advanced technologies and supply chain security, supporting global economic stability and security, reinforcing the partnership between the two countries, and contributing to building a more resilient and sustainable economic ecosystem.The summit brought together member countries of the Pax Silica initiative. The first day was dedicated to discussions related to industry and the private sector, while the second day focused on government-related topics and ways to enhance cooperation among member countries.On the sidelines of the summit, al-Sayed held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of senior participating officials, including Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan; Saeed bin Mubarak al-Hajeri, the UAE’s Minister of State; Jacob Helberg, US Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment; and Dr Ceferino S Rodolfo, Undersecretary for Industry Development and Investment Promotions at the Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry.Al-Sayed also met with Chng Kai Fong, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information of Singapore; David Copley, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Global Supply Chains at the National Security Council; and Ben Black, CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation.The meetings discussed ways to strengthen trade and investment relations, expand prospects for economic cooperation, coordinate policies, explore opportunities in AI, facilitate trade exchanges, and support partnerships between business communities in a manner that serves mutual interests.Al-Sayed also met with several representatives of global companies, where the investment opportunities offered by Qatar were reviewed, alongside prospects for cooperation in priority sectors, particularly artificial intelligence and advanced technology, the digital economy, and supply chains. 

HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi held a phone call on Thursday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yvan Gil.During the call, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, in addition to the latest developments in the Latin America region.HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the wake of the two earthquakes that struck Venezuela. He offered sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, the government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, met on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar, Muhammad Amir.During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to several topics of mutual interest.

HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Doha Ghulam Hoosein Asmal.The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual concern.

Qatar Chamber board member Dr Mohamed bin Jawhar al-Mohamed has emphasised the importance of strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Qatar and Ghana.  In a webinar organised in cooperation with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Thursday, al-Mohamed highlighted the significant opportunities available for partnerships between the private sectors of both countries. Simon Madjie, CEO of the GIPC; Mohammed Nurudeen Ismaila, the ambassador of Ghana to Qatar; and a number of Qatari and Ghanaian business owners and companies also attended the meeting.  Al-Mohamed also noted that Qatar-Ghana relations witnessed notable growth in recent years, supported by high-level visits, exchanges of business delegations, and several cooperation agreements covering various sectors. He pointed out that bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached QR73mn in 2025, reflecting vast opportunities for commercial and economic cooperation during the period ahead.  Al-Mohamed highlighted Qatar’s growing interest in Africa, particularly West Africa, noting that Ghana's political stability, favourable business environment, and strategic location make it an attractive destination for Qatari investments and a gateway to regional markets.  He also pointed to promising opportunities for cooperation in several sectors, including agriculture, food security, energy, manufacturing, tourism, technology, infrastructure, and financial services, emphasising that these sectors offer significant potential for establishing mutually beneficial partnerships that support sustainable economic growth in both countries.  Al-Mohamed reaffirmed Qatar Chamber’s commitment to supporting closer cooperation between Qatar and Ghana’s business communities, and encouraged Qatari investors to explore the investment opportunities available in Ghana.  He also invited Ghanaian companies to invest in Qatar, highlighting the country's world-class infrastructure, advanced regulatory framework, and business-friendly environment that supports innovation, investment, and sustainable growth. Ismaila praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, expressing his hope that this meeting would contribute to opening new horizons for cooperation and partnership between the business community in Qatar and Ghana in various sectors.  During the meeting, the Ghanaian side delivered a presentation highlighting the key features of the Ghanaian economy, as well as the main incentives and facilities available to foreign investors. It also outlined the most promising investment sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, financial technology, hospitality and others.

Qatar Chamber hosted a meeting Monday with Mohamed bin Hassan al-Malki, chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat), in the presence of Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani. Also present at the meeting were Qatar Chamber first vice chairman Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari, Qatar Chamber board member Abdulrahman Abduljalil al-Abdulghani, who is also chairman of the chamber’s Real Estate Committee, along with several other chamber officials.  From Aqarat, the meeting was attended by Mubarak Mahboob al-Nuaimi, director of Licensing and Training; Mohamed Ahmed Makki, director of Investment; and Jassim Abdulrahman al-Derham, director of Legal Affairs.  Discussions focused on enhancing co-operation between both entities and exploring areas of mutual interest aimed at developing and regulating Qatar’s real estate sector, strengthening the investment environment, and supporting a more resilient and attractive business ecosystem.  The meeting also addressed key challenges facing developers, investors, and business owners in the real estate sector, as well as the relevant regulatory procedures required to overcome them.  Both sides agreed to hold a forum at the chamber’s headquarters, bringing together real estate developers and senior officials from Aqarat to further discuss and address the challenges facing the sector.  For his part, al-Malki expressed his keenness to meet with officials of Qatar Chamber, noting that the chamber is the “home of traders and investors” and an incubator for the private sector. He further praised the ongoing cooperation between both sides, stressing a shared focus on identifying the challenges facing the real estate sector and working to address them in a timely and effective manner.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al Muraikhi received a phone call on Thursday from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Iruthisham Adam.During the call, the two countries discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.

 HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani met yesterday with Indonesian Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.An official reception ceremony was held on this occasion for the Deputy Prime Minister upon his arrival to the headquarters of the Indonesian Ministry of Defence.During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest security developments in the region as well as aspects of military co-operation and joint coordination under the current circumstances. **media[453244]**The meeting also witnessed the signing of a deal between Barzan Holdings and the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, and a partnership agreement between Barzan Holdings and Republikorp.Qatari ambassador to Indonesia Sultan bin Mubarak al-Dosari, attended the meeting, alongside several senior officers and officials from both sides.
