Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Monday with Sudanese counterpart Mohieldin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim, currently visiting Saudi Arabia.During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues to expand and strengthen cooperation across various domains. They also discussed recent regional developments and exchanged views on matters of mutual concern.Both sides reiterated their commitment to advancing bilateral ties and deepening cooperation in diverse sectors.  

Saudi Aramco is offering crude oil outside the Strait of Hormuz to some Asian refiners through private negotiations, two sources with knowledge of the matter said on Monday, in a strategy similar to that adopted by United Arab Emirates' Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc). In a rare move, Aramco is in talks with buyers to supply Arab Medium and Arab Heavy crude via ship-to-ship (STS) transfers off Fujairah in the UAE, the sources said. One of them said the cargoes were for September loading. It was not immediately clear how Aramco moved its cargoes out to Fujairah. The offers are the latest sign of crude supplies finding their way around the prolonged disruption to the Strait of Hormuz. Aramco declined to comment. Aramco has also diverted its Arab Light crude to the Red Sea port of Yanbu for export since the Iran war began, and also offered the grade from Egypt’s Mediterranean port of Sidi Kerir following attacks in the Red Sea by the Iran-aligned Houthis. Disruption in supplies from the Strait of Hormuz and Red Sea, due to the US-Israeli war on Iran and attacks on vessels by Yemen's Houthis, has curtailed Aramco's market share in key consuming markets such as India. In contrast, sustained shipment of crude from inside the Gulf to waters outside the Strait have helped boost UAE's oil sales with Adnoc selling more than 100mn barrels through tenders. The arrangements allow Asian refiners to receive crude without sending their own tankers through the strait, where security concerns have deterred many shipowners from entering. 

 Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, discussed with United States President Donald Trump in a phone call the latest regional developments and their wider implications. During the call, the Saudi Crown Prince stressed the need to prioritize dialogue to reduce escalation and the importance of making every possible effort to achieve calm that paves the way for diplomatic solutions, preserves the region's security and stability, and prevents a wider conflict whose repercussions would affect regional and international security and stability. The two sides also discussed existing areas of cooperation and ways to strengthen them further.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received on Sunday a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.During the call, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways to support and strengthen it. They also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for all parties to remain committed to dialogue and diplomacy and to implement what was agreed upon under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to safeguard regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and promote regional stability.HE reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.    

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the Houthi group's targeting of a Saudi vessel while it was sailing in the Red Sea, and termed it a serious violation of international maritime safety, a direct threat to global energy security, and a clear and blatant breach of international law.In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the continuation of these rejected attacks represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and undermines efforts to consolidate regional security and stability.The Ministry called upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216 on Yemen and Resolution 2722 on the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. It emphasized that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a fundamental principle of international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.It reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its sovereignty, security, and interests, affirming that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar's appreciation for the ongoing efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to coordinate between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties, and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, with the aim of resuming the political process and the roadmap in a way that achieves security and stability in the region.  

Saudi Aramco has offered additional crude cargoes for loading from Egypt's Mediterranean port of Sidi Kerir, according to five trading sources, signalling a potential shift in export routes as Houthi threats to shipping raise risks for oil movements through the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb strait, reports Reuters. The cargoes are being offered on a spot basis, two of the sources said, supplementing supplies to Aramco's term buyers. While Aramco already supplies some customers in Europe and North America from Sidi Kerir, the additional volumes suggest the Saudi producer is seeking greater flexibility in reaching its markets as security risks persist along the Red Sea route. Aramco declined to comment. 

Qatar has strongly condemned the Houthi targeting of a Saudi vessel in the Red Sea, calling it a serious violation of international maritime safety, a direct threat to global energy security and a blatant breach of international law.In a statement Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the continuation of the attacks represented a dangerous escalation that threatened the security and stability of the region and undermined efforts to consolidate it.The ministry called on the international community to fulfil its responsibilities in implementing relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost Resolution 2216 on Yemen and Resolution 2722 on the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. It stressed that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a fundamental principle of international law and of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.Qatar reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the kingdom to preserve its sovereignty, security and interests, affirming that Saudi security is an integral part of the security of Qatar and the Gulf Co-operation Council states.The ministry also expressed appreciation for Oman's continuing efforts to co-ordinate between Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties and the UN special envoy to Yemen, with the aim of resuming the political process and the roadmap towards regional security and stability.Separately, the six GCC states and Jordan jointly condemned Iranian attacks on their territories and invoked their right to individual and collective self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter, warning that the assaults threaten international peace and security.In a joint statement, the seven countries said attacks on their territories, citizens and civilian infrastructure had continued since February 28, 2026, including after the signing of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding on June 17. They had intensified against Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, hitting energy facilities, desalination plants, ports, airports and other civilian infrastructure.The attacks violated the UN Charter, international law, international humanitarian law, Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026) and the commitments Iran gave under the memorandum, the statement said.The seven asserted their right to take all necessary legal measures to protect their sovereignty, territory, citizens, commercial vessels and critical infrastructure, and called on the Security Council to adopt an urgent resolution demanding an immediate halt to the attacks, recognising the right of affected states to self-defence and considering further measures should the attacks continue.They welcomed the Iraqi prime minister's decision to restrict the possession of weapons to the state by September 30, backing measures by Baghdad to stop Iranian-backed factions, militias and armed groups mounting further attacks on countries in the region.The statement praised the readiness and professionalism of the seven countries' armed forces and commended the resilience and unity of their citizens.It reaffirmed their commitment to freedom and safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, and to working with regional countries and the International Maritime Organisation on permanent arrangements consistent with international law, the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, respect for state sovereignty and the principles of good neighbourliness.The seven concluded by reaffirming full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for the measures it is taking to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity. They also praised the diplomatic efforts led by Saudi Arabia and Oman towards a comprehensive and lasting political solution in Yemen, and the kingdom's humanitarian and development assistance to the country.  

 Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah discussed the latest regional updates and ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability, during a phone call Wednesday.The call saw the Saudi Crown Prince express the Kingdom's full solidarity with and support for the State of Kuwait, as well as its strong condemnation of the continued and blatant Iranian attacks on Kuwaiti territory. 

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned and denounced remarks by the Houthi military spokesman accusing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of imposing a blockade on the Yemeni people and enforcing a maritime embargo.In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities by implementing the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 on Yemen and Resolution 2722 on freedom of navigation and navigational rights in the Red Sea. The Ministry stressed that freedom of navigation through international waterways is a fundamental principle of international law and of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and security. It also affirmed that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of the security of Qatar and the other Gulf Cooperation Council member states. 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Thursday from Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who expressed his deepest condolences on the passing of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, praying to Almighty Allah to grant him His boundless mercy and admit him into His vast Paradise.For his part, HH the Amir expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Saudi Minister of Defense for his heartfelt condolences and sympathy.

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the ballistic missile attack by the Houthi group targeting the southern region of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing it as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and territorial integrity, a breach of international law, and a threat to regional security and stability.In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its unwavering support for all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
