Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has marked the conclusion of the Doha edition of Toblerone’s The Ultimate Gift campaign by presenting a donation to Education Above All (EAA) Foundation. The winning bid was the highest recorded across the nine participating airport auctions, with the campaign contributing the full amount to support the Foundation’s work.  The funds were raised through the auction of one of nine individually numbered and certified Toblerone Crystal Bars crafted by Swarovski. Modelled after the original Toblerone Milk bar, the rare, handmade creation was showcased at a dedicated pop-up in the South Node at Hamad International Airport. The global auction ran from 1 to 31 July 2026, with one Crystal Bar displayed at each participating airport.  QDF selected EAA Foundation as the beneficiary of the Doha auction, building on Qatar Airways Group’s support for the Foundation’s mission for over a decade. Established in 2012, EAA Foundation works to expand access to quality education for children and young people affected by poverty, conflict and disaster worldwide. This latest initiative turned a moment of travel retail theatre into tangible support for educational programmes reaching some of the world’s most vulnerable children. The funds raised will specifically support EAA Foundation’s Assalam Schools in Qatar.   Mr. Thabet Musleh, Qatar Airways Group Chief Retail & Hospitality Officer, said: “Qatar Airways Group’s relationship with Education Above All Foundation has grown over several years, grounded in a shared belief in the power of education to change lives. We are delighted that the sum raised will go towards supporting their crucial work with the Assalam Schools in Qatar. We are grateful to everyone who took part and helped bring the campaign to such a meaningful close.”  Dr. Mohammed Abdulla Al Saleh, Partnerships Director at Education Above All Foundation, said: “This Support demonstrates how creative partnerships can translate public participation into meaningful educational opportunities. The funds raised will support our Assalam Schools, helping children in Qatar to access inclusive and quality education. We are grateful to Qatar Duty Free, Qatar Airways Group, Mondelēz World Travel Retail and everyone who participated in the campaign for investing in the potential of every child and helping build a more inclusive future through education.”  Joost Rosmuller, Vice President and Managing Director, Mondelēz World Travel Retail, said: “Toblerone’s Ultimate Gift is a global luxury campaign that brings our 'Destination: Value' vision to life, transforming airports from points of transit into destinations of desire through exclusivity, innovation and theatrical storytelling. We are delighted that the campaign has not only set a new standard for travel retail activation but has also generated meaningful value far beyond the airport environment, turning a moment of retail theatre into real-community impact for education."  Through QDF’s partnership with Mondelēz World Travel Retail and Qatar Airways Group’s support for EAA Foundation, the campaign has turned traveller participation at Hamad International Airport into support that will make a difference beyond the airport.

Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, a global foundation for education and development, participated as the official beneficiary of the 2026 Markel Magnolia Cup at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, bringing together sport, philanthropy and collective action to expand education and economic opportunities for vulnerable and marginalised children and young people worldwide.The EAA’s participation extended across the Goodwood Summit, the Markel Magnolia Cup, and the Regency Ball.At the summit, EAA chief operating officer Ali Turki al-Sobai delivered opening remarks highlighting education as a foundation for resilience, economic participation and long-term prosperity.**media[475455]**The EAA also facilitated the roundtable discussion on “Pathways to Economic Opportunity, Higher Education and Collaboration”, which brought together representatives from government, academia, finance, business and international development.The session, led by James Shaw-Hamilton, examined practical pathways from education and skills to employment and entrepreneurship; access to education and skills development for women and girls, including in lower-income and conflict-affected contexts; higher education and research collaboration; the alignment of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and health education with future economic priorities; talent mobility; and innovative financing approaches capable of scaling educational impact.“Sport has a unique ability to unite people, challenge barriers and inspire collective action,” al-Sobai said. “Through our collaboration with Goodwood and the Markel Magnolia Cup, we are transforming that shared energy into meaningful educational opportunities for children and young people affected by poverty, conflict and displacement.”“We invite partners and supporters to join us in investing in education as the foundation of resilient communities and sustainable prosperity,” he said.The Markel Magnolia Cup brought together 12 amateur female jockeys from diverse professional and personal backgrounds.The annual race celebrated women’s determination, achievement and leadership while raising funds to support the EAA’s work to remove barriers to education and help young people develop the skills and opportunities needed to build sustainable futures.Fundraising continued during the Regency Ball at Goodwood House, where guests and partners supported the EAA’s global education programmes through a charitable raffle and other contributions.Prizes included luxury hotel stays in truly iconic locations around the world, courtesy of Katara Hospitality and Maybourne.The 2026 collaboration built on the EAA’s previous engagement with Goodwood since 2023 and demonstrated how sport, philanthropy and cross-sector co-operation can contribute to lasting educational impact.

Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in collaboration with Place Vendôme, hosted Let’s Move for Education, a community movement activation held in celebration of Olympic Day 2026 and in support of the International Olympic Committee’s global Let’s Move campaign. The event brought together hundreds of participants, including youth, families, Team Qatar athletes, community members, partners, representatives of Education Above All Foundation and Place Vendôme, and invited guests, for an indoor community walk and jog at Place Vendôme Mall. Following a guided warm-up session, participants completed up to five laps around the mall, covering approximately five kilometres, in a shared celebration of physical activity, wellbeing, social connection, and youth engagement. The activation created an inclusive space for people of different ages and abilities to take part at their own pace, reinforcing the message that every journey begins with a single step. Through its participation in the IOC’s Let’s Move campaign, EAA Foundation highlighted the role of sport as more than physical activity. Sport can help young people build confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills that support their growth inside and outside the classroom. The event also reflected EAA’s Foundation commitment to innovative partnerships that connect education, sport, and social development. Al Jazi Darwish, Director of Communications & Engagement at the Education Above All Foundation, said: “Sport has the power to bring people together and inspire young people to recognise their potential. Through Let’s Move for Education, we are proud to support a global movement that promotes active lifestyles, wellbeing, and community connection, while reinforcing our belief that education and sport can work together to empower young people and help them build the skills they need for life.” The event also built on EAA Foundation’s collaboration with Qatar Foundation and the International Olympic Committee through the Circle In initiative, which harnesses the power of sport to create safe, inclusive spaces that support learning, healing, and personal growth. Sanjay Mehta, Group Director of Marketing at United Developers, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with Education Above All Foundation in hosting Let’s Move for Education at Place Vendôme. This activation reflects our commitment to providing a welcoming community space where families, young people, and partners can come together to celebrate health, movement, and positive social engagement.” By bringing together sport, education, and community participation, Let’s Move for Education showcased Qatar’s commitment to inclusive community initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, youth development, and social wellbeing. 

Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, and Assalam Schools marked the foundation’s recognition at the inaugural Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work through Assalam Schools, with celebrations held across all five Assalam Schools in Qatar. EAA was honoured in the non-profit organisations category for the ‘Together Project.’ The recognition reflects the growing national importance of inclusive education in Qatar and highlights the role of Assalam Schools in expanding inclusive, flexible, and high-quality learning pathways for students whose educational journeys may be affected by social, economic, or academic challenges. Launched in Qatar in 2017, the ‘Together Project’ has grown into a network of five Assalam Schools, which have supported more than 24,000 students of diverse nationalities since inception.**media[438178]**Noora al-Sulaiti, director, Together Project said: “This recognition matters because it reflects what Assalam Schools have made possible for thousands of students across Qatar, a pathway back to learning, renewed confidence, and a future that feels open again. For many children and families, the impact is not abstract; it is felt in the classroom, in the home, and in the sense that education is once again within reach. We are grateful to the Ministry of Social Development and Family, to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and to our partners for helping in making this impact possible.” The celebrations brought together students, school communities, partners, and supporters of the Together Project, in recognition of their contribution to the success of Assalam Schools and their role in helping expand supportive and adaptive learning pathways for children in Qatar. Assalam Schools were established to provide inclusive and flexible learning pathways for students in need of supportive education models that respond to diverse learning needs. In addition to academic learning, the schools provide integrated health and psychological support, alongside programmes to strengthen learning outcomes and help bridge educational gaps.

Lebanese-American tennis star Hady Habib inspired students and educators during a special visit to First Assalam School, an initiative of Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, a global foundation dedicated to advancing education and development.Launched in 2019, the First Assalam School supports non-Arab children aged 7 to 12 who face financial and structural barriers to accessing quality education. To date, the school has enrolled more than 5,300 students, providing inclusive learning opportunities and structured academic pathways that enable students to reintegrate into formal education systems.During the visit, Habib shared insights from his professional journey, underscoring the importance of perseverance, discipline, and ambition in achieving success at the highest levels of international sport. His engagement reflects the school’s commitment to exposing students to positive role models who demonstrate how resilience and hard work can unlock opportunity, both inside and outside the classroom.As part of the programme, Habib toured the school library, engaged learners through a health and wellness session, a rapid-fire game, and led an interactive sports session with students and educators, reinforcing the role of sport as a powerful tool for building confidence and holistic development.Speaking on the visit, Al Jazi Hasan Darwish, director, Communications and Engagement at EAA Foundation, said: “At Education Above All Foundation, we believe education is not only about academic attainment, but about nurturing confidence, resilience, and aspiration. Welcoming an athlete of Hady Habib’s calibre offers our students a living example of what determination and self-belief can achieve. These moments help children see beyond their immediate circumstances and imagine futures shaped by opportunity, purpose, and possibility.”The First Assalam School delivers the British curriculum and integrates specialised, non-traditional programmes such as accelerated learning and homeschooling to bridge learning gaps, address foundational deficits, and support students in excelling academically. The school plays a critical role in assisting children whose education has been disrupted, ensuring they are not left behind. 

Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and Qatar Charity celebrated the official opening of the Fourth Assalam School, marking another milestone under the “Together” Project. The Fourth Assalam School joins the growing network of Assalam Schools, established to support at-risk learners and children facing barriers that prevent them from accessing or continuing quality education. Although the school officially began operations in January 2025, the ceremony was held to commemorate the tangible results achieved and the positive transformation evident in students’ lives. The school serves primary-level students aged seven to 12 and operates a dual-shift, dual-curriculum model designed to maximise reach and respond to diverse learning needs. The morning shift delivers the Qatari National Curriculum for Arabic-speaking students, while the afternoon shift follows the British curriculum for Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and Qatar Charity celebrated the official opening of the Fourth Assalam School, marking another milestone under the “Together” Project. The Fourth Assalam School joins the growing network of Assalam Schools, established to support at-risk learners and children facing barriers that prevent them from accessing or continuing quality education. Although the school officially began operations in January 2025, the ceremony was held to commemorate the tangible results achieved and the positive transformation evident in students’ lives. To date, 587 students are enrolled, 276 in the morning shift and 311 in the afternoon shift, demonstrating partners’ shared commitment to expanding inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education in line with national priorities. Mohamed al-Kubaisi, CEO, EAA Foundation, emphasised that inclusive, flexible education models can close learning gaps and restore opportunities for vulnerable children. “When education reaches children where they are, lives are transformed. At the Fourth Assalam School, we are witnessing confidence restored, potential unlocked, and families re-engaged in the learning journey. This is the power of partnership and purpose, transforming access into opportunity and classrooms into places of hope.” Yousef bin Ahmed AlKuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity, reaffirmed the partnership’s evolution from humanitarian response to sustainable human development. “The opening of the Fourth Assalam School reflects our firm belief that education is a fundamental right for every child and the most sustainable path to empowerment. Through our long-standing partnership with Education Above All Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, we are committed to ensuring that children who have faced hardship, displacement, or economic barriers are given a real second chance to learn, grow, and build a dignified future.” Guests later participated in an interactive tour, “Real learning from the classroom to the podium”, showcasing student-led STEM experiments, exhibitions, debates, flexible learning pathways, and an agriculture project. The Assalam Schools were established in response to the increasing number of vulnerable children in Qatar, particularly those facing significant barriers to formal school enrolment. Key challenges include reaching children who are not officially registered in the education system and those who encounter obstacles to school entry. These barriers include exceeding the official age for grade enrolment, lacking required identification documents, and facing economic hardships. Since its inception, the schools have served more than 21,750 students of diverse nationalities. In addition to academic education, the Assalam Schools provide students with health and psychological support, as well as non-traditional learning programmes designed to enhance learning outcomes and bridge existing educational gaps.
