Members of the Muslim Association of Palakkad (MAP Qatar) recently donated a mini ambulance to a palliative care centre in Aalathur in Kerala’s Palakkad district. Officials of Kripa Palliative Care Centre formally received the vehicle from MAP Qatar mutual fund chairman Abdurahman Haidar Hassanar.
K E Haneef inaugurates the palliative care as others look on
Standing committee chairman of the Palakkad district panchayat K E Haneef formally inaugurated the centre. Islam Charitable Society chairman A Mohamed Ali chaired the meeting. Representatives of the local bodies in and around Aalathur were present. Kripa general secretary A U Raheema welcomed the gathering and P A M Rafeeq proposed a vote of thanks.
Kripa Palliative Care Centre is taking care of a large number of terminally ill patients, among whom are those suffering from diseases such as cancers, paralysis and renal failure. The Doha forum has also donated beds, wheelchairs, and water beds for those undergoing treatment at the centre.
