A labourer takes a photograph with his cell phone of an army tank during a military exercise near the village of Kohada, in the northern state of Punjab. The exercise was undertaken by the Vajra Corps, popularly known as the ‘Defenders of Punjab’, in which about 12,000 troops took part. The exercise envisages swift mobilisation of units and formations to occupy defences and also practice offensive manoeuvres.
