The celebrations of Qatar National Day this year are set to be exceptional from all aspects, and the motto 'Our Unity Source of Our Strength' sends a message of peace and love to all the people of the world, a number of Qatari citizens told local Arabic daily Arrayah.
Since the National Day celebrations this year will enjoy unprecedented local and international coverage as part of the activities accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, it was suggested that the occasion should be utilised to further introduce and promote Qatari traditions, customs and heritage. Besides, they pointed out that everybody should collaborate in showing the best of the country to its international visitors to reflect the true image of its hospitality and good ethics.
Mohamed al-Malki was of the view that the people of Qatar should extend all possible support to the visitors to let them know about the bright image of the country and its rich heritage and traditions. He said some fans have already started to come to the country and the accompanying activities and events are on.
Ahmed al-Abdulla pointed out that the motto of this year inspires both Qataris and expatriates to exert their best efforts to serve the country and play an active role in helping the organisation of the tournament. He stressed that the original Qatari traditions and customs are set to be the guidelines for maintaining the bright prospects of the country. He said Qatar has become the focus of the world as a place for realising dreams and overcoming the challenges, which further establishes its strong international position.
Ali al-Obaidan said that all people should try hard to abide by the relevant standards and regulations to present the true solidarity within the Qatari society and unity among its different members, who have always been distinguished by their hospitality and generosity, and in welcoming others. He said all the people of Qatar should act as ambassadors representing the country to others at such a global event.
Hussein al-Hadad said that the motto of this National Day reflects the determination of the Qatari people to send the world a message of peace, love and solidarity as Qatar has used sports as means for making different people get closer rather than a way of competition.
He said that all Qataris are proud of the great achievements of the country and the National Day celebrations this day will certainly reflect this.
