A joint campaign was launched Sunday to remove abandoned vehicles at various areas of Al Daayen Municipality. The joint initiative is carried out by the committee for removing abandoned vehicles, the general cleanliness department and the mechanical equipment department in co-operation with the municipality. Hamad Sultan al-Shahwani, head of the general control section at Doha Municipality, and a member of the committee, pointed out that a number of similar campaigns have already been carried out at many places across the country.


While some abandoned vehicles and equipment were removed, a large number of owners removed their vehicles. More campaigns will be carried across the country over the coming period, he added.
