Traditional dhows will also be a housing option for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, in co-operation with Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation, an official of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) told local Arabic daily Arrayah.

This option provides fans with an opportunity to learn more about the traditional dhows and have a comprehensive experience by living in them and getting to know the Qatari culture,” SC housing department executive director Omar Abdul Rahman al-Jaber said.
“These dhows come are fully furnished and air-conditioned, and ranging from 2-5 rooms as well as daily cleaning services and free Internet,” he said. “The renting of the dhows will also be through the official housing platform. The 30 dhows are located in the centre of Doha (the old port of Doha).”
