*The decision that all employees who work in closed offices and communicate with clients must wear facemasks remains active

People in Qatar will be required to wear masks only in health facilities from October 23, according to a new Cabinet decision.
The Cabinet's regular meeting was chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday afternoon, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings.
The Cabinet reviewed the report prepared by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) regarding the latest developments related to Covid-19 and took the following decisions:
1. Amending the Cabinet's decision issued in its regular meeting No. 31 for 2022, which had convened on August 31, regarding the wearing of facemasks to be as follows; citizens, residents and visitors are obliged to wear facemasks while visiting health facilities only. The decision stating that all employees and workers whose jobs require them to be in closed offices and communicate with clients must wear facemasks during their work hours remains active.
2. This decision will come into effect as of Sunday, October 23.
With this decision, people are no longer required to wear facemasks while using public transport.
The Cabinet, meanwhile, followed up the arrangements and preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and took the appropriate decision in that regard.
The meeting also approved a draft law on dividing the estate law and referred it to the Shura Council.
The draft law was prepared to speed up the procedures for distributing an estate among heirs, according to their legal shares, to avoid the negative impacts of any related delay.
Further, it approved a draft Cabinet decision to issue the executive list of Law No. 1 for 2021 regarding military decorations, orders, medals and flags.
Among the provisions included in the draft decision are those related to the procedures for awarding medals, the nomination controls for awarding them, their forms, the method of wearing them, and their ceremonies.
