*His Highness Sheikh Tamim hopes summit outcome will benefit people of Asian continent

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani participated Thursday in the sixth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held at the Independence Palace in Kazakhstan's capital Astana.
A number of heads of state, government and delegations, as well as representatives of regional and international organisations, participated in the summit.



The summit was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir, members of participating delegations, senior officials and guests of the summit.
His Highness the Amir also attended a luncheon banquet hosted by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in honour of heads of state, government and participating delegations.



The Amir expressed his hope that the outcomes of the sixth CICA summit will benefit the interests of the Asian continent's people.
In a tweet on the official Twitter account, the Amir said that he concluded the visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which he was pleased to meet with President Tokayev and discuss with him the means to develop the cooperation between the two fraternal countries and the recent regional and international developments.



His Highness the Amir added that he was happy to participate in the sixth CICA summit, expressing his hope that its outcomes will benefit the interests of the Asian continent's people. The Amir also thanked the Kazakh president for the warm welcome and reception.

Amir leaves Astana for Istanbul

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani left Astana Thursday after concluding a state visit to Kazakhstan and participating in the sixth CICA summit, heading to Istanbul on a work visit to Turkey.
The Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off at Astana International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubayev, Mayor of Astana Altai Kolginov, and several senior officials.
The Amir sent a cable to the president of the friendly Kazakhstan in which he expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation, during the visit that offered an opportunity for him and the president to meet, exchange views on international and regional issues of common interest, and discuss ways to develop and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
