A number of Qatar’s diplomatic missions have organised events to promote the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In Berne, the embassy of Qatar to Switzerland held a reception to promote the World Cup, which saw the participation of many officials, lawmakers, media professionals and athletes, including representatives of FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), heads of diplomatic missions and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Switzerland, in particularly those whose teams will participate in the competition.



Qatar's ambassador to Switzerland Mohamed bin Jaham al-Kuwari delivered a speech at the ceremony, stressing the role that football plays in building bridges of communication among different peoples and cultures.
Qatar's embassy in Turkiye also organised a promotional event in Ankara.
The event was attended by Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Mehmet Kasapoglu, ambassador HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani, and a number of officials, heads and representatives of the Arab diplomatic corps accredited to Turkiye.
The event included sports activities and other activities in honour of orphans.



In a speech on this occasion, HE Sheikh Mohamed expressed his pride in Qatar hosting the championship and stressed that this occasion is not a celebration for Qatar alone, but for football fans worldwide.
He pointed out that Qatar's hosting of the tournament is the first in the Middle East, and promised that the world would see Qatar organising a distinguished World Cup.
The envoy noted that the activities and events organised by the embassy in Ankara are part of the promotion of the tournament, and invitedthe Turkish people to visit Qatar and enjoy the historic event.



Qatar's embassy in the Philippines meanwhile held a party in the city of Mandaluyong.
The event was attended by Philippine Vice-President and Secretary of Education Sara Duterte, Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Benjamin Abalos Jr, Qatar's ambassador in Manila Dr Ali bin Ibrahim al-Malki, Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Abalos Sr, and other officials, along with a large crowd of the city's residents.
During the ceremony, officials delivered speeches and handed out souvenirs to school students in Mandaluyong.
Various musical shows were presented.
