HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Thani inaugurated on Saturday the "A M Gallery" in Place Vendome Mall in Lusail City.
During a tour after the opening, the minister was briefed on the most prominent artworks at the gallery, which aims to enrich the artistic world with a number of artworks, and showcase the sense and creativity of Qatari artists.
In this context, artist Ahmed al-Maadeed, who is in charge of the A M Gallery, said 17 artists are participating in gallery. The artworks are distinguished by their diversity, craftsmanship and high accuracy.
Al-Maadeed noted the keenness on diversifying the artworks of the participating artists every month, making the gallery a place for all artists on a permanent basis.
He pointed out that the gallery was established to create a suitable and professional environment for artists in general, while focusing on artists among the Qatari citizens and residents and supporting them to export their art outside Qatar.
The A M Gallery include two sections, Studio A and Studio M, that contain all drawing tools and colours.
Studio A is dedicated to professional artists and provides all the required materials in an environment rich in artistic atmosphere; while Studio M is for free drawing and provides an opportunity for all visitors to enter the gallery and experience drawing with all available tools and colours.
The A M Gallery aims to enrich the artistic world with a number of diverse artworks presented by a selected group of Qatari and international artists, each of whom is characterised by a unique approach to creativity and innovation.
The gallery also works to create an appropriate artistic environment for artists and those interested, and seeks to provide a solid experience of inspiration.
On the sidelines of the gallery, there will be lectures and cultural seminars aimed at gaining and exchanging experience. (QNA)
