The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) announced the launch of the second edition of Katara Prize for Cartoon competition from Thursday until October 25, 2022.
The value of each of these prizes is as follows: the first prize is $5,000, the second prize is $4,000, and the third prize is $3,000. Participation in the award will be open to all cartoonists over the age of 18.
The written text must be in Arabic or English and the subject of the drawings should be about sports and football.
Each participant is also allowed to submit a maximum of three works, provided that the entries are new and implemented specifically for this competition and that the drawings have not been previously published in media, social networking sites or Internet sites.
They are free to submit drawings in colours or in black and white, provided that the artists puts his or her signature on the drawing.
The first edition of Katara Prize for Cartoon competition was launched during the period from June 20 to August 15, 2020, and its theme was homeschooling and working from home, during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
