Vice-president of Czech-Gulf Business Council Michaela Marksova has emphasised that the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Czech Republic is very important and constitute a message and sign of good relations between the State of Qatar and the Czech Republic.
In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), Marksova, whose country currently holds the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union, believed that the relations between the two countries and the bilateral co-operation will be strengthened and developed further in the future, noting that Qatar will be an important trading partner for the Czech Republic, at the level of both the public sector as well as the private sector.
She added that the opportunity will be available for Qatari investors to invest in various sectors in the Czech Republic, including investments in the fields of sports, such as football clubs or others.
She continued, "We also have historical buildings, where you can see a small or large castles in almost every village, and we have many places that can be of interest such as cities, spas and hotels. We also have hot springs in some cities that are used in medical tourism".
She expressed her happiness with her recent visit to Doha, and noted the desire to repeat it and her aspiration for further development in the relations between the two countries, adding that she had held important meetings at a high level of professionalism during her visit.
The Czech official also expressed her admiration for the renaissance in the State of Qatar, pointing to the country's accomplishments during the past ten years.
Marksova has affirmed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held from November 20 to December 18, will be "more than just football", and will constitute an opportunity for people from different countries and cultures to meet, which will enhance the rapprochement between civilisations and cultures, stressing that the State of Qatar is an ideal place for tourism.
