Hindi Diwas was celebrated, under the initiative of the Indian embassy and North Indian Association of Qatar (NIA) at Birla Public School from September 14 to 27. Eight Indian schools participated in the competitions in different categories for students of grade III to XII. NIA president Rajnish Shastri inaugurated. Members Chandra Gururani and Shalini Tiwari also spoke. Essay writing and public speaking in Hindi were the main competitions. Academic-director principal Harish Sanduja highlighted the significance of the day and congratulated the participants. Vice principal Rajesh Pillai proposed a vote of thanks.
