His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala discussed strengthening the existing friendship and co-operation between the two countries and ways to support and develop these relations at various levels.
During their meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in Prague Wednesday, the Amir and the prime minister also discussed enhancing bilateral relations to broader levels in all fields.
At the outset of the meeting, the prime minister welcomed the Amir and the accompanying delegation, hoping that His Highness's visit would contribute to the development and strengthening of relations.
For his part, His Highness the Amir thanked the prime minister for the warm reception, expressing his aspiration to develop co-operation, especially with the increasing of favourable opportunities between the two countries.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, HE the Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani attended the meeting.
On the Czech side, it was attended by Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, Minister of Finance Zbynek Stanjura, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavsky, Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela, and a number of senior officials.
