*Amir also discusses with Czech PM ways to develop ties in all fields

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman held Wednesday an official talks session at the presidential residence in Prague Castle in the Czech Republic.
At the outset of the session, HE the Czech President welcomed His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation, stressing that the visit was an important step in developing bilateral relations in various fields, looking forward to further efforts to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields.









For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed happiness to be in Prague , expressing thanks to the Czech President, the government of his country and its friendly people for the warm reception and hospitality, pointing to the strength of the Qatari-Czech relations and their continuous development and the joint cooperation in various sectors.
During the session, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance and develop them, especially in the trade, industry, energy and investment fields, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.











Also, His Highness the Amir and the President of the Czech Republic witnessed the signing ceremony of the joint declaration between Qatar and the Czech Republic on mutual support to complete the bilateral investment agreement and the signing of an agreement on economic, commercial and technical cooperation between the governments of the two countries.






HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, HE Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani attended the talks session.
On the Czech side, it was attended by Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, Minister of Finance Zbynek Stanjura, Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela, and a number of senior officials.
The President hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Amir and the accompanying delegation.






His Highness the Amir and the Czech President held a bilateral meeting, in which they discussed aspects of developing relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.
His Highness the Amir was accorded an official reception ceremony upon his arrival at the presidential residence.
Zeman led well-wishers to welcome the Amir at the presidential residence in Prague Castle.
In a separate meeting, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala discussed strengthening the existing friendship and joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and develop them at various levels to achieve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), President Zeman expressed pleasure over the state visit of His Highness the Amir and said that this visit paved way for the start of a new phase of development in relations between Qatar and the Czech Republic, noting that he discussed with the Amir ways to strengthen and develop ties to broader horizons and increase cooperation in various fields, especially economic and trade sectors, in addition to international developments.
In joint press statements with President Zeman at the presidential palace in Prague , His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani affirmed that the Qatari-Czech relations are distinguished and witnessed continuous growth in various fields, such as health, energy, and investment, expressing the two countries' quest for further cooperation, and looking forward to the agreements signed during the visit being another motivation to achieve the aspirations of the two countries in this regard.
The Amir indicated that he had discussed with the president the development of economic relations, trade exchange, and joint investments, looking forward to working with him to enhance bilateral cooperation.
