The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) hosted Omani folk arts events performed by the Izki folk art band on the Katara waterfront over the past two days.
The band performed many Omani folk arts as part of its presentation of the folk singing heritage, including the art of Al Azi and Al Rizha, which is defined as an individual art performed without intonation and conducted by a creative poet glorious for the origins of poetic diction in Al Azi's poems, and the art of the bagpipe, which is known for its lightness and beauty of rhythm and dances, and was named by this name after the main musical instrument used in his performance, namely the bagpipe.
The band plays a significant and active role in highlighting the Omani cultural heritage, through its artistic paintings that embody the antiquity and beauty of Omani folk arts in many artistic and cultural events.
