* Online rent-a-car service for guests arriving at HIA

Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB) has joined hands with Japanese global mobility service provider Kinto.
A launch event was held in this regard, which was attended by Abdulghani Nasser al-Abdulghani, AAB vice-president; Koichi Nagayasu, Mass & Fleet Business Solution Group, Middle East & Central Asia Division, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC); R K Murugan AAB CEO; along with the AAB top management.
"Everyone should have the freedom to move. With cities more congested and lives more connected, we need a fast affordable way to move from point A to point B. One solution that’s flexible, convenient and simple is Kinto Rent," a press statement noted.

Using the app, one can book, pay and drive his/her favourite Toyota or Lexus away.

For the first time in Qatar, AAB and Kinto will offer an online rent-a-car service to guests arriving in the country to experience the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Operating from Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, this new initiative is the latest venture in rent-a-car services that covers use of the vehicle and payment online through an app. The driver must only pay for fuel and a deductible if there is an accident.
During the event, Nagayasu said: “Kinto is part of our strategy to transition from a car manufacturing company to a mobility company by providing new transport-related services to our valued customers in Qatar and across the world."
Al-abdulghani added, “The Kinto global brand was launched three years ago as a brand owned by Toyota Financial Services Corporation, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. This brand revolves around providing innovative and new mobility services to customers in a way that integrates technology, product and customer requirements in an accessible and flexible manner.”
Over the last decade, Qatar has made significant progress towards becoming a leader in the use of information technology. AAB aims to build on that momentum and play a key role in driving Qatar’s economic diversification and growth strategy to comply with Qatar National Vision 2030, the statement points out.
AAB collaborates with the Kinto global headquarters in Nagoya, Japan, under the supervision of TMC to bring its services and brand ideology to Qatar.
"Customer individual mobility needs are at the heart of Kinto Rent, which combines the affordability and convenience you expect along with a high-quality service and professionalism. Kinto Rent makes customers’ transportation easier," it adds.
Using the app, you can book, pay and drive your favourite Toyota or Lexus away. Rental options start from one day all the way up to 180 days.
As the first step, one has to download the Global Kinto app, then register his/her information, pick the vehicle and option that works for him/her and get ready to find a "new level of driving freedom". To book, a customer is required to share a photograph of the driving licence, ID information and proceed for payment. Finally, s/he will pick up the vehicle upon arrival to HIA.
