A series of artistic and creative activities will continue to take the centre stage at the fourth edition of the Qatar International Art Festival, being held at Katara – the Cultural Village until Friday.
The festival, organised by Katara in co-operation with MAPS International, witnessed a great turnout of artists and enthusiasts in an atmosphere reflecting the message of Katara to be a melting pot for cultures and arts and its constant endeavour to build bridges of communication between cultures and people.

Apart from the artistic lessons, Katara noted that participating artists enrich the festival with their views and ideas as it continues to attract many visitors daily.
QIAF 2022 is also set to host a one-of-its-kind fashion show, which confirms the positive interaction between the various types of artistic and creative schools, in addition to the panel discussions that witnessed a large presence of the artists.
Various artists lauded the importance of the festival as it constitutes a great artistic occasion that provides them with the opportunity to introduce their work and enrich their own experiences. It includes a variety of activities such as painting and sculpture show, a live drawing symposium, a fashion show, masterclasses, panel discussion, an art conference, a cultural evening, and an award night.
Organisers noted that the latest edition features the participation of 12 international galleries: Golden Tree and Giorgio from the UK, Artvantoros from Spain, Studio Amuli from India, Deti Gallery from Sweden, Mino Art Group from Iran, Art Oriental from China, Art Fan from Dubai, Vixe Arts from Colombia, Gallery Pygmalion from Kazakhstan, Gallery International from Qatar, and Guest Art from Russia.
Artist Zuhaila from Iran thanked the organisers, saying the festival constitutes a distinguished international artistic environment that contributes to the meeting of artists and benefiting from each other's experiences.
Artist Ola Khalifa from Sudan said she is happy to participate in the event, adding that her works deal with the idea of the power of supplication. Egyptian artist Lamis Abu Bakr presented King Farouk as one of the figures of Egyptian history, expressing her happiness to be present on the occasion.
