The address of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani at the UN General Assembly reflects his international vision and high awareness about global issues and Qatar's readiness to deal with potential risks as well as courage to assume responsibilities, being a great leader, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar Zhou Jian said.
The envoy said he highly appreciated His Highness the Amir stressing the Palestinian cause and highlighting how it is pressing and urgent.
"He in particular gave priority to the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, in addition to facing the global challenges through international co-operation and solidarity, while maintaining justice and equality."
The ambassador pointed out that such issues addressed by His Highness the Amir expressed the key consensuses between Qatar and China regarding the international and regional affairs, and simultaneously tackle the current international circumstances.
Ambassador Jian further stressed that China was ready to work closely with Qatar to promote multilateral dialogue, seeking to settle issues through open and peaceful negotiations rather than confrontations and struggles. "In this way the Qatari and Chinese society would contribute in building a better future for humanity."
