His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended a reception ceremony held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on the occasion of announcing a new partnership with Qatar Museums.
His Highness the Amir toured the museum and visited the Islamic Art Collection area, now named Qatar Hall, to view its archaeological and historic holdings, as well as its Islamic manuscripts and artwork. The Amir was also briefed during the tour on the outcome of the fruitful cooperation between Qatar Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met).
Afterwards, His Highness the Amir attended a luncheon banquet held on the occasion.
