The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has shared tips for the safety of water scooter and jet ski users.
Colonel Fahd Ali al-Hajri, head of the Maritime Training Centre at the General Administration of Coasts and Borders Security at the MoI, while talking to Qatar Radio, offered a number of tips for the safety of water scooters and jet skis.
“Keep a 300m distance from the coast, stay away from swimming areas near the beach, stay away from ports, diplomatic and industrial areas, and drive if you have reached the legal age. Also, wear a life jacket and helmet, tie the key to the wrist and don't perform stunts that cause accidents,” he advised.
