Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) aspires to provide exceptional coverage of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 that meets the expectations of viewers and listeners through a large network of correspondents inside and outside the stadiums.
Participating in the 'Media Scene' programme on Kuwait Radio, QMC CEO HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani al-Thani explained that radio coverage in several foreign languages, including English, French and Urdu and telecast of visuals of the tournament and the events being organised across Qatar are among the plans.
Citing HE Sheikh Abdulaziz's interview, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that he stressed the need to develop journalistic work, by searching for scoops and ensuring the quality of language. Despite the increasing popularity of digital media and social media, the QMC CEO observed that print media still retains its value.
HE Sheikh Abdulaziz praised the Kuwaiti media, which made the first imprint in the Gulf, especially in radio and television. The QMC CEO also expressed his readiness for any co-operation with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, while serving the aspirations of the two countries.
