The Zakat Fund Department at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs will organise the 22nd training course for corporate Zakat accounting on Oct 1-2.
The course is primarily dedicated to accountants, financial managers and auditors in companies and public, private economic and commercial enterprises in Qatar.
The fund said the course will be held at the Torch Hotel Doha, and has called on the local enterprises and institutions to register.
The head of the Zakat Services Division of the Zakat Fund, Mohamed Jaber al-Baridi, said the fund has been organising this free of charge course on an annual basis, adding that the course has contributed to training about 1,400 people on calculating corporate Zakat. Those willing to subscribe to this course are requested to register their names on the fund's website, www.zakat.gov.qa. The deadline to register is Sept 26.
