Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Dr Majed Mohamed Hassan Abdullah al-Ansari met separately with Assistant Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Support at the UN Elizabeth Marie Spehar, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric, and UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communication Melissa Fleming on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meetings, they discussed means of co-operation between Qatar and the UN in the fields of media, peace and conflict resolution through negotiation and dialogue, in addition to a number of issues of common interest. Spehar praised Qatar's mediation and its active role in resolving conflicts in several regions of the world.
