Qatar Charity (QC) is preparing to launch ‘Biggest Winner’, a health and entertainment programme, for primary school students.
The initiative will be implemented in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Naseem Healthcare, Qatar Women's Sports Committee and the Sport.Kha team.
The programme, which will start on September 20 and continue until October 31, will target 100 male and female overweight students from eight primary schools.
The initiative will be held under the supervision of specialised trainers and will include awareness and training activities and workshops, as well as interactive weekly meetings. The health, sport and recreational activities suitable to the needs of the participants, will be presented in creative ways.
The programme aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating habits among the participants, so that they can be a healthy generation and contribute to building the country and serving the community in the future. The programme seeks to reduce the percentage of chronic diseases and health costs.
Naseem Healthcare will carry out medical measurements, and accordingly, personalised diet will be developed for each participant suffering from obesity and chronic diseases.
The Qatar Women's Sports Committee will provide the required exercises and training for female students according to their health needs, while the Sport. Kha team will provide such exercises and training for the male students.
