On the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2022-23, the Indian embassy in Qatar, under the aegis of ministry of external affairs, government of India, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour Indian school teachers for their contributions towards academic excellence and celebrate their sincere efforts in inspiring and impacting the lives positively.
The teachers were presented with appreciation certificates at a ceremony organised by the Indian Cultural Centre. The criteria for selection included excellence in academic achievements, contribution to students’ growth and innovative activities.
Indian ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal inaugurated the event. He said teachers are the building blocks of a good education system. Indian embassy first secretary (culture and education) Sachin Dinkar Shankpal and principals of various CBSE schools in Qatar joined the ceremony.
Four teachers from MES Indian School - Thithaymu Abdul Azeez, Fency Pathrose, Jency George and Zeenath Jalal - were among the recipients in the categories of K.G, Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary, respectively.
DPS-Modern Indian School teachers Gurpreet Kour (Kindergarten), Priyadarshini Rajagopalan (Primary), Vijayasree Ajesh Kumar (Secondary School) and Rakhi Mishra (Senior Secondary) were awarded on the occasion.
During the cultural segment of the event, more than 150 teachers from various Indian schools in Qatar displayed their skills in singing, dancing and acting.
