Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has announced the start of its annual maintenance work in the Republic of Yemen Al Hiswa Power Plant for the month of September.

The project dates to 2017, and it comes with providing Aden with two mobile power units with a capacity of 61 MW and training Yemeni cadres to operate and maintain these units.

QFFD said in a statement that this step comes within the scope of the State of Qatar's vital and effective role in supporting the Yemeni people in the fields of development, infrastructure, and relief, as well as to alleviate the suffering of the people in Aden from frequent electricity cuts and rising temperatures of this year.

QFFD said it hopes that with regular maintenance, the station will ease the suffering of the Yemeni people and help them overcome the difficult conditions they have been experiencing.
