The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Sultan bin Rashid al-Khater, met Saturday with Scott Taylor, president of the US-Qatar Business Council (USQBC), who is currently visiting Qatar.
The meeting was attended by Sheikha Mayes bint Hamad al-Thani, managing director of the USQBC Doha Office. During the meeting, officials discussed and exchanged views on issues of common interest, as well as aspects of bilateral co-operation in the trade, investment, and industrial fields, as well as means to enhance and develop them, in light of the distinguished ties and common strategic interests binding the two nations.
The undersecretary also gave a preview of the economic policies adopted by Qatar to diversify the national economy and support the private sector. Moreover, he highlighted the incentives, legislation, and promising opportunities available in the country, aimed at encouraging investors, businessmen, and US company owners to invest in Qatar.
