* Revised fee will be in place until end of year
* More than 400,000 medication deliveries have been made to HMC patients and almost 200,000 to PHCC patients using the service

Qatar Post, in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), has reduced the fee from QR30 to QR20 for the home delivery service related to medications, medical reports, medical consumables and dietary products.
The reduced fee will be in place until the end of the year.
The service was launched in April 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic but continued thanks to positive feedback from patients. So far, more than 400,000 medication deliveries have been made to HMC patients and almost 200,000 medication deliveries to PHCC patients using the service, according to a press statement.
To access the HMC medication home delivery service, patients may call 16000 between 8am and 2pm daily, from Sunday to Thursday. To access the PHCC medication home delivery service, patients can call the assigned medication home delivery service number for their health centre or 16000 for more information.
Also, for the PHCC medication home delivery service, patients can send a message to the WhatsApp number assigned to their health centre. They can find the WhatsApp number in this link available here on the PHCC website.
HMC and PHCC patients must have a valid health card, a card to pay for the medications and delivery fee as well as know their house and street address.
Qatar Post is the delivery agent taking care of this service. All Qatar Post drivers are adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and have been specially trained to handle medications, including those that require refrigeration and special handling.
Dr Moza al-Hail, executive director of HMC’s Pharmacy Department, said the reduction of the fee to QR20 would make the service more accessible to patients.
“This is a very convenient service that enables patients to receive their prescribed medications safely and conveniently,” Dr al-Hail said. “This partnership has delivered real and lasting benefits to our patients. We would like to thank Qatar Post for their continued support and encourage our patients to utilise this great service.”
Dr Manal AlZaidan, director of PHCC's Pharmacy Department, said: “We appreciate the support provided by Qatar Post and accept the community’s request to reduce the medication home delivery charges. This will certainly make the service more accessible to our community, especially during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. It will also support reducing the volume of patients visiting PHCC health centre pharmacies and further prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection.”
Faleh al-Naemi, Qatar Post chairman and managing director, added: “We are delighted to solidify our partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, HMC and PHCC in a joint effort to continue to bring convenience to patients during the forthcoming summer months and as we approach the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 when road traffic will naturally increase.”
