The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued a warning against consuming the peanut sauce Calvé Penauts Sauce Mild and Calvé Penauts Sauce Spicy, produced in the Netherlands with the expiration date of 05/15/2023. This is due to suspicion of being contaminated with pieces of flexible rubber.
MoPH explained that it had monitored a notification through the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) regarding the product and it had taken the necessary precautionary measures as it circulated to all suppliers to immediately withdraw the product from the market. The ministry also directed its inspectors to verify that the concerned points of sale are free of the suspected batch of the product as an additional precautionary measure.
MoPH has urged consumers not to consume it and to destroy the purchased quantities or return them to the point of sale.
