Family Food Centre is holding an exclusive promotion for its wide range of Sri Lankan produce and food products. The theme, 'Flavours of Sri Lanka', is being celebrated across its outlets with the key highlight of the promotion being Family Food Centre’s Airport Road branch hosting M Mafaz Mohideen, the Sri Lankan ambassador to Qatar, and Sumudu Wilpatha, first secretary of the mission.
The delegation visited the outlet on August 21 and was greeted by senior officials of Family Food Centre. The delegates were given a tour of the 'Produce' and 'Grocery' sections, which have stocked exclusive imports from across Sri Lanka. A roundtable discussion helped bring ideas to help cater to the ever-growing demands of the Sri Lankan diaspora in Qatar and highlighted Family Food Centre’s contribution in meeting this demand actively, a press statement noted.
The ‘Flavours of Sri Lanka’ theme focuses on fresh imports that are flown in on a day-to-day basis, along with products such as Premium BOPF tea, organic coconut milk, Kithul syrup, red parboiled rice, katta sambol, dry fish, ambarella chutney and other traditional sauces and pickles. Family Food Centre has been serving the people of Qatar since 1978. The Airport Road outlet stocks one of the widest variety of fresh fruits & vegetables, meat & seafood, marinades, groceries and imports from over 35 countries.
Its 'Bakery' and 'Food-to-go' sections produce freshly prepared delicacies suited to any meal of the day. Family Food Centre’s outlets are tailored to meet the demands of the residents of Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Daayen and Umm Salal, and the retailer constantly adds products according to the customers' demands.
