The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the opening of applications for the professional licensing of school leaders for the 2022/2023 academic year, from August 21 to 25. The registration for licences will available electronically via this link - https://rukhsa.edu.gov.qa
Similarly, the professional licence for teachers will also be announced during the two weeks following the aforementioned period.
The professional licensing system allows various parties of the educational process (teachers, co-ordinators, academic and administrative deputies, deputies for kindergarten affairs, managers) to submit their applications for a professional licence according to their different job titles and the system allows them to renew the professional licence except for the first level teacher licence, and the system also allows the school principal to evaluate teachers through the evaluation form in it, the ministry has said in a statement.
The evaluation determines the teacher's performance level in accordance with national professional standards.
In the event that the employee does not pass the licence, he joins a training programme aimed at rehabilitating and developing him according to the needs he aspires to reach the target results.
The training takes varying periods (within a maximum of 24 months from the date of issuance of the first result of not passing), followed by re-applying for a licence. This system supports the retention and development of educational competencies. The evaluation mechanism relied on actual educational practices that have an impact on students' learning, performance and achievement.
The professional licensing system targets making learning, performance and achievement a top priority to ensure that our students will reach the highest potential, and contribute effectively in promoting the advancement of Qatari society.
