The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has carried out a campaign to clean Al Adaid Beach of dead fish.
This was done to ensure safety and cleanliness of the surrounding area, the ministry tweeted.
The MoECC said it had promptly intervened to follow-up on fish deaths in the Khor Al Udeid area, and was investigating the incident.
A group of specialists from the monitoring department and the nature reserves department took samples of the fish to the laboratory to be examined and determine the cause behind the incident, the ministry said.
Fish deaths in the area, especially during the summer season, usually occur due to high seawater temperatures, it added.
