The Qatari duo beat Iran 45-34 in the third-place play off. Qatar men’s 3x3 basketball team suffered a 11-12 defeat at the hands of Senegal to bow out of medal contention. Meanwhile, Qatar Athletics Federation president Mohamed Issa al-Fadala said the athletics team’s performance at the Islamic Solidarity Games as incredible. Qatar athletes won three gold, three silver and one bronze. “We are truly happy with our athletics team performance and results, it was our best ever participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games and we shall chase down more achievements and podiums,” al-Fadala said.
