Carrefour Qatar has unveiled its 10th store in its collection of successful retail hypermarkets and supermarkets in the country, a statement said. The newest store is in Lagoona Mall, between the Zig Zag towers on Doha waterfront. In close proximity to Katara - Cultural Village and The Pearl Island, the new Carrefour store is situated minutes away from Legtaifiya metro station, and on the ground floor of Lagoona Mall, occupying the second largest space among more than 180 stores in the shopping destination.
With a total shopping floor of more than 2,700sqm, the latest Carrefour store represents a high degree of sustainability all the way from planning to execution. Examples include a full LED lighting system, energy-saving refrigerator doors and water reducer faucets. Laurent Hausknecht, Carrefour’s regional director said: “With an exceptionally dedicated team; a great location in a modern and rapidly growing area in Doha; excellent accessibility; and an enlarged product assortment, we are confident that the new store will become another story of success in our journey.”
The new store comes with a team of more than 100 staff, and will offer customers a wide range of quality merchandise, services, and speciality departments such as fresh foods, butchery and fishery. There are hundreds of parking spots and shopping carts, as well as wide aisles and vast product range. The latest Carrefour store is open from 8am to 12am, Saturday to Thursday, and on Fridays from 8am to 11am, and from 12.30pm to 12am.
In addition to its in-store shopping, Carrefour Qatar offers convenient shopping experiences such as self-checkout and home delivery through its AI-enabled e-commerce app. With two delivery options, an express delivery in less than 60 minutes, and a standard same-day delivery option, usually within a few hours from placing the order online, the statement added.
