The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has completed the restoration works of Theatre Park, a project of the Supervising Committee for the Beautification of Roads and Public Places, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
The green areas have been maintained properly and the pedestrian walkway decorated with coloured umbrellas, plants and artworks.

A major axis has been implemented between the two main facades, with paths leading to the different parts of the garden.
The park’s name was chosen in tribute to the adjacent Qatar National Theatre.
The park represents a link point between the eastern side of the Corniche Street through the tunnel, and the metro station located in the centre of the park, as well as Majlis Al Taawun Street.
The Theatre Park has three main parts.

The first part is for entertainment, with seating areas, restaurants and kiosks to provide food and drinks for visitors.
The second includes areas for sports activities, paths for pedestrians, running, and bicycles, created from recycled rubber and local materials.
The third part is the green areas, which include shaded and open spaces for families, suitable for children's games, in addition to the green hills.

The Theatre Park includes the Corniche metro station in Al-Bidaa, located on the Red Line.
The Theatre Park covers an area of 108,000sq m, of which the lawn covers approximately 64,000sq m.
The Theatre Park, an important addition to the public parks in the country, will be reopened after the completion of the Corniche development project.
