*Amir meets Chadian parties of Doha Peace Agreement
*Pact a first step that paved way for a comprehensive national reconciliation dialogue in Chad: Amir


His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani stressed that the Doha Peace Agreement signed Monday by Chadian government and opposition groups to launch national reconciliation talks was a new and important stage in the history of Chad.
His Highness the Amir clarified that this agreement was a first step that paved the way for a comprehensive national reconciliation dialogue in Chad, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Chadian government and the Chadian opposition parties for their efforts and keenness on reconciliation and the general national interest, calling all parties in Chad to accede to this agreement in order to achieve stability and security in their country.







This came during His Highness the Amir's meeting Monday at the Amiri Diwan with President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad Lt Gen Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno and representatives of a number of Chadian opposition parties, on the occasion of their signing of the Doha Peace Agreement.
For their part, Lt Gen Itno and representatives of the Chadian opposition parties expressed their thanks to His Highness the Amir for Qatar's hosting of the Chadian peace negotiations, praising the good offices of Qatar and its constant keenness to maintain security and peace in Chad and the world.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials in brotherly and friendly countries and international organisations.
