As part of the co-operation between Al Wakra Municipality and Qatar Foundation, the teamwork of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) has held a co-ordination meeting in the presence of representatives from Al Wakra Municipality, and Qatar General Water and Electricity Corporation (Kahramaa) to exchange information and data on the greenhouse gases at Al Wakra city.
It is also part of the efforts to enhance the strategy of the Ministry of Municipality regarding sustainable development and sustainable environment, in addition to forming a mechanism at Al Wakra municipality to reduce carbon emissions so as to avoid the adverse consequences of climate change.
