The 7th Local Dates Festival, currently going on at Souq Waqif, has continued to attract more visitors and making excellent sales with around 58,651 kgs of different varieties of dates sold within the five first days. In addition, the sales of dates for Sunday only amounted to 15,022 kgs.
Meanwhile, the sales of locally produced fruits, which were introduced at the Festival for the first time, amounted to 696 kgs until Saturday. The sales of Sunday amounted to 161 kgs including 35 kgs figs, 120 kgs lemon and 6 kgs green almond.
