Doha Municipality health control section has carried out intensive inspection campaigns on the companies and storehouses of foodstuff supplies in the Industrial Area.
A storehouse was spotted running without a licence and manipulating the expiry dates of food products, extending them through the repacking and refilling them. Accordingly, a violation report was issued, the foodstuff was seized, and the storehouse was shut down while taking all the necessary legal procedures.
In the meantime, large amounts of vegetables and fruits unfit for human consumption were spotted in another unlicensed storehouse. The seized vegetables and fruits were destroyed and a violation report was issued and legal procedures were taken against the violators.
