Government schools across the country are getting ready to welcome students on August 14 after the summer vacations, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
A number of school directors said they are making all the necessary preparation, maintenance and renovation works to make the institutions ready to receive students.
They pointed out that comprehensive maintenance works have been implemented to the school buildings including the laboratories, classrooms and other services and administrative areas.



Besides, lists of the required items and vacancies have been sent to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to take the necessary procedures.
The school directors explained that the maintenance works covered the cleaning of the air conditioning systems, water tanks and other water and electricity connections to ensure the health and safety of the students, teachers and all the other employees. Further, lists of the students in each class were made to prepare the necessary number of textbooks.



Rashid Mubarak al-Nuaimi, a school director, stressed that all the maintenance works at his institution were accomplished as part of the preparations for the new school year 2022- 2023. Further, work is going on to make required textbooks available for all the students before the school year starts.
Khalid al-Kaldi al-Yafei, a school director, echoed al-Nuaimi's words and also said cleaning and sanitation processes have been undertaken to keep the school building and premises at their best.



Mohamed al-Hammadi, another school director, said that e-copies of the textbooks have been sent to the students through the relevant platform in addition to messages urging them to get ready for a new and fruitful school year.
Salem Hashil, also a school director, said that the class rooms are being prepared to receive the students, equipping them to accommodate the listed numbers of students, conveniently and comfortably. Further, work is going on to see what is needed and the ministry is consulted in this regard for the supplies.
