The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Doha (PICPA Doha), an organisation devoted to the professional advancement of Filipino finance professionals, has announced its new set of council officers and associate volunteers for fiscal year 2022-2023.
Through internal succession, Christian Dave M Barrameda stepped up as PICPA Doha's new president and John Vincent P Gunita as senior vice-president, with Kathryn Joyce T Fajardo being elected as vice-president.
Outgoing president Abdul Rahim G Gandamra presided over the election, which had the participation of past presidents and Board of Directors (BoD) members.
The nomination period lasted from June 1 to 15 and the positioning of elected council officers and associate volunteers took place on June 24 through a hybrid set up.
The new set of office-bearers also include Carmela Mae V Ampongan (secretary), Carmi Joy D Bue (treasurer), Jay M Mariano (accountant), Ariel Joseph P Teologo (auditor), and John Zyriel B Reyes (public relations officer).
The new chairpersons for various committees are Mary Ann C Agulto (continuing professional development), Donnabelle I Evangelista (corporate social responsibility), Micha Lizette P Pataueg-Vardanyan (education), Jyerex G Abrasado (community affairs), Rey E Barcena (sports), Vince C Desuasido (ways and means), Virgel B Bucalid II and Marivel V Pagayonan (social media relations), Joyminda M Aguillon (membership) and Michelle Eugene B Sy (corporate governance and compliance). who is also the BOD secretary.
The new associate volunteers for fiscal year 2022-2023 are Mary Ann G Salubo (head - committee on associate affairs), Federico F Faldas (deputy
head - committee on associate affairs), Ruby I Nepacena (secretary). Other volunteers for the following committees are Morris L Montecillo (corporate social responsibility), Catherine M Deligero (community affairs), Kashmir Joseph C Tolentino (sports), Marcell T Casinay (social media relations), Carl Albrecht B Baustista (education), Rebekah A Pardillo (ways and means), Najeeb Abdullah B Mamacotao and Jay Rafael D Angeles (membership), and Alvin S Guanzon and Roque L Galgo (events).
PICPA Doha is scheduled to hold its 15th General Assembly and Induction Ceremony for FY 2022-2023 on August 5 at the Millennium Plaza Doha.
