HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met yesterday with the Vice President of Venezuela Dr Delcy Rodriguez, during his visit to the country, QNA reported from Caracas
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations, and ways to support and develop them, especially in the fields of air transport, trade and investment. They also discussed ways to encourage partnership between businessmen from both countries, specifically in the field of agriculture, and strategic projects related to food security, including the exchange of knowledge in this domain. The officials also discussed a number of topics of common interest.
HE Sheikh Mohamed also met yesterday, with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Carlos Faria Tortosa. The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the Palestinian cause.
HE Sheikh Mohamed hailed Venezuela’s position in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, in addition to the level of relations between the two friendly countries, and stressed that his current visit to Venezuela comes with the aim of following up on the issues raised during the official visit of President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro to Qatar last June.
