Weather fluctuations are expected in the country from this evening until the end of the coming week, the Qatar Met department has said.
"It is expected that the amount of clouds will increase across the country from Tuesday evening until the end of this coming week due to the extension of a low-pressure system," the weather office said in a report Monday.
The weather will become "partly cloudy to cloudy" at times and there is a chance of scattered rain, which may turn thundery in some places at times, the report states.
These conditions may be accompanied by "strong downdraft and low horizontal visibility, both inshore and offshore".
The winds will be northeasterly-southeasterly, ranging from fresh to strong in speed and gusting to 30 knots at times. The winds may exceed 40 knots offshore, causing high seas.
"Please be careful and follow our latest updates through our official sites," the Met department advised the public.
