The designated authorities have referred 541 people to the prosecution for violating the Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures in force in Qatar, the Ministry of Interior said Sunday.
Among them, 528 people were referred to the prosecution for not wearing masks in places where these are mandatory, and 13 for not installing the Ehteraz app. This is in line with the Cabinet decision based on Law No 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases. The authorities have urged the public to adhere to the precautionary, preventive measures to protect them and others from the spread of Covid-19.
