The Organising Committee of the Sheikh Jassim Holy Qur'an Competition has announced the launch of the 'Yatafkaroon' (They Think) competition for the most beautiful video and design in both Arabic and English.
The competition, open until September 15, stipulates that entries should depict a verse or group of verses (corresponding to the Ottoman calligraphy) that speak of one of the Islamic values mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.
The design should be an original work and not include any signs, signatures, names, symbols or any other marks added by the participant. The participant must be a citizen or resident of Qatar.
The Ministry of Endowment (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has the right to reuse or publish posts without referring to the participant.
Each participant should enter only one video clip featuring the design. The entry is to be posted on the participant's Instagram account with the hashtag of the competition, #DesignYatafkroon# and or tag the Ministry’s account on Instagram.
The competition carries cash prizes of QR11,000 for the first place, QR10,000 for the second and QR9,000 for the third.
